What is the difference between back spasm and pinched nerve?

Muscle Spam: A"pinched"nerve implies irritation of a nerve root. Presents as leg pain, numbness or weakness. Back spam is typically muscle spam secondary to strain, the most common cause of back pain. Can also occur with nerve root irritation.
