A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: The mitomycins are a family of aziridine-products isolated from Streptomyces caespitosus or Streptomyces lavendulae. One of these compounds, mitomycin C, is very useful as a chemotherapeutic agent . It is given IV to treat esophageal, anal and breast cancers, as well as by bladder instillation for superficial bladder tumors. In combo with RT it can be very effective.
