Investigational: This is the use of viruses to treat cancer. While some experimental results are encouraging, and good research is ongoing, it certainly has not been proven to be safe and effective for any cancer. Using virotherapy outside of a clinical trial is dicey. If the doctor claims it has proven benefit as a single agent (i.e., not in combination with chemotherapy) he is in error and possibly fraudulent
