Armodafinil is a : eugeroic medication. Its exact mechanism of action (MOA) is unknown. It acts on the brain's arousal & alertness mechanisms. (They're not the same.) That's about the most I can tell you if you have no further knowledge of neurophysiology, neurochemistry or neuropharmacology. Any further discussion would be so oversimplified that it wouldn't really explain anything.
