Will steroids help a unborn baby grow bigger or just help the organs?

Helps lungs mature: Sometimes if it looks like a baby may be born prematurely, doctors will give the mother a steroid. This is done to help the lungs mature more quickly. I don't know if this applies to the situation you are describing, so do ask the doctor involved for your personal answer. Good luck. LGromkoMD
