I'm going on 3 months with tonsillitis and i'm not going to see specialist till january 12. should i wait till then ?

Tonsillitis: If you have waited three months a few more weeks is not likely to matter. Have a great holiday season.

Tonsillitis: If it is getting worse and you have any trouble breathing and/or with intermittent fevers you should be seen sooner than later. But this sounds chronic and indolent. Gargle with salt water and menthol. No smoking. Avoid alcohol.
