Early cellulitis?: Only two things come to mind. An early skin infection (cellulitis) which has not completely developed. Typically there is redness, warmth and tenderness in the area, but this may not be apparent early on. Monitor the area. Less likely, there could be an area of nerve damage in the skin causing very sensitive and noxious sensations to touch: a condition called dysesthesia. It could also be nothing.
