I had a molar pulled due to infection. i took clindamycin with tooth in. if the bacteria became resistant to antibiotic what next?

Infection: Please finish the prescription. Now that the source of the infection is gone (the tooth) the infection should clear up however you need to finish the prescription so any of the bacteria left behind DO NOT become resistant in the off chance that you need that antibiotic again in the future. All being well the area should be mostly healed in a few weeks so enjoy the holidays and follow the PO instr

Needless Concern: The bacteria do not become resistant that easily. Since you promptly treated the source of the infection (extraction of rotten tooth), most of the problem was eradicated. The antibiotics helped clean up the remaining mess.
