Normal: Hi. That's a normal TSH. It would be more meaningful to have an accompanying free T4. Using just TSH assumes a normal pituitary. In the vast majority of cases, the pituitary is normal and TSH reflects thyroid function, but in those rare cases of pituitary disease, TSH alone is misleading. The effect of a normal TSH is normal thyroid function (or if you take thyroid hormone, the dose is right).
