See your doctor: Chronic sore throat may be related to a number of reasons, including reflux (GERD) and allergies. You should see your doctor to see if you can be tested for these entities. If needed, your doctor can look in your throat or send you to ENT for endoscopy for direct visualization. If you have a strong smoking history, you are at higher risk of throat cancer than if you never smoked.

No: 1st things 1st. Get checked for allergies, post nasal drip due to chronic sinusitis. Never smoke if u are worried about cancer.
