Yes: Yes they can, though much less likely to than a child. Those who are elderly or immunocompromised are more likely. Symptoms are similar to those for kids - itchy bumps on hands and feet with blisters in the back of the throat. Unfortunately no tx - just treat the pain and itching and wait for it to resolve.
