A member asked:

Can iv damage cause recurring blood blister on fingertip w pain & tenderness throughout arm? years after iv damage was done? this happens evry 6-9 mos

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not likely: IV damage to a vein in the distant past leaves a scarred vein, but wouldn't cause recurring finger tip lesions. It's best to have a physician examine the lesion when they are present and then get his or her advice after the evaluation.
