Speak to your: doctor. Are you also on an antibiotic? For an acute ear infection, if a doctor prescribes an antibiotic, it is always important to finish it unless you're having an allergic reaction. It's not clear to me why you're on the steroid, unless you've had chronic fluid in your ear. The steroid doesn't treat the infection itself. Please discuss this with your doctor.

See doctor: Short course of methylprednisolone does not cause any side effects , You can continue both methylprednisolne and antibiotics for ear infection . Discuss with your doctor and make it sure ,how much necessary is to take the medication .
