Amoxicillin Allergy?: Amoxicillin is #1 drug for simple ear infection. For recurrent, more frequent, complicated ear infections, stronger antibiotics are prescribed. Amoxicillin is palatable, kids like to take. Side effects can be some diarrhea, abdominal discomfort. If severe diarrhea, bad cramps, or any rash, you need to stop, call pediatrician's office. For the time being, give her some pedialyte.
