A member asked:

Is it possible that a women may not develop enough hcg after missing her period for 8 days?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pregnancy Tests: a pregnancy test usually reverts to positive about 3-5 days after implantation, which averages 9 days after ovulation. The woman in question would be almost three weeks after ovulation, so it is unlikely she is carrying a viable pregnancy. It is always wise to retest if there is still some concern.
