HCG levels: Her doctor would have to test specifically for quantified HCG levels in order to know them. A basic pregnancy test says only positive or negative. Perhaps this woman did not have quantified HCG levels done until 6 weeks of pregnancy. Pregnancy and full menstrual periods are mutually exclusive. Some "implantation bleeding" (which is not that common) could occur, though.
