No: Laryngitis usually caused by post nasal drip. Requires time to heal and drainage to stop. In contrast, pharyngitis or tonsillitis may be caused by bacteria which could respond to penicillin and prednisone. Typically penicillin reserved for proven group a beta hemolytic strep. Requires throat culture or quick strep test to prove.
