It is not normal: Step 1 is to make sure your GERD is optimally controlled. If not, and you have been taking appropriate medication, it may be time to have an endoscopy. Notably, Percocet can exacerbate GERD by slowing stomach emptying time. Step 2 may be to have the vocal cords visualized by ENT (another scope). Afterward, you may benefit from voice therapy. Finally, rule out allergic asthma/rhinitis
