Get seen now...: One potential complication with ovarian cysts, especially those that are large, is an ovarian torsion( the ovary cord twists around itself) which requires emergency evaluation and management. If you are having that severe pain then you should go now to the ED for immediate evaluation and treatment. Other possibilities: infection, abscess, ovarian rupture or hemorrhage.
