A member asked:

How do you know if you will have a pituitary tumor or some issue with it where you end up growing very tall? it is one of my fears.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pituitary giant?: Hi. A growth hormone secreting pituitary tumor before/during puberty will cause growth of long bones and produce pituitary gigantism (as opposed to acromegaly after bone growth plate fusion). You don't state your age in your profile. Maybe you have pituitary gigantism. But maybe you just have an odd, irrational fear. See your doctor. Pituitary gigantism does not take a rocket scientist to diagnose
