A member asked:

For infants, toddlers and kids, should formula milk or any milk be limited? normal food which v eat is preferable? our doc told to limit milk? reason?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Confusing question: Bovine milk in high quantities can cause small amounts of intestinal bleeding. Kids who develop an unhealthy pattern of excessive bovine milk consumption can become anemic enough to need a blood transfusion. Most recommend no > 16-20 oz/day, which seems well tolerated. Any food/formula consumed in excess of need can cause problems. You can work out the age related specifics with your doc.
