Hi doc, my child is 2 yrs old already. can i stop giving her formula milk and switch to full cream milk instead? thank you?

Yes. In the US transition to regular milk is often done at a year with a limit of 16=24 oz/d. Cow milk protein is harder to digest and in excess can result in microscopic intestinal blood loss and anemia. The goal of balanced nutrition through their regular diet is the major concern.

It is appropriate to transition her formula to regular 4% fat cow's milk, if she does not have a cow's milk allergy. She should have a balanced diet with five servings of fruits and vegetables, lean sources of protein and whole grains in her diet. Review her growth chart with your Pediatrician.
