Dose 2ml sulbutamol (ventulin) nebulizer for 2years old child considered as over dose?

Not recommended for: children under 4 years of age, as no controlled studies have been done, however, it is being used off label. Assuming that the vials are 5 ml, then 2 ml would be a safe dose.

Mgt: If you have the 5mg/ml solution, then using 0.5 ml per dose should be fine. This would provide 2.5 mg. If you notice any tremor, reduce the dose to 0.25 ml. A virtual appt is available online.
