Doctor can evaluate: One's doctor can confirm whether or not it is croup. Treatments croup are moist air, corticosteroids, and nebulized epinephrine, but Duolin (ipratropium and salbutamol) is not a usual croup treatment. The anti-inflammatory action of corticosteroids reduces voice box tissue edema. A 6 year-old crouper likely had croup in years past, and his doctor might use the same meds now if the same disease.
