HSV 1 is Positive: Your HSV 1 test is positive. Your HSV 2 test is Negative. However, it is good to apply them to the clinical scenario. Some people may have a positive HSV test but never have had any lesions. so, applying results to clinical picture is important. Good luck.

HSV-1 pos, HSV-2 neg: I read the results such that you have been exposed to the HSV-1 that typically causes cold sores, while you have not been exposed to HSV-2. Keep in mind, though, that genital herpes is now more and more found to be caused by HSV-1.
