Get an MRI: It is not possible to know which parts of your shoulder have been injured (or how badly) without a reliable imaging study such as an MRI. Before starting PT, it is important for the therapist to know what is damaged inside, to better prescribe exercises to speed recovery rather than hinder. If you haven't already received an MRI, now may be the time to do it. Talk to your doctor.
