Possibly: If you have atopic dermatitis with secondary infection, antibiotics can magically clear the whole thing up. Since clarithromycin is effective against typical skin flora including many staphylococci it is possible that your rash responded to clarithromycin. There is risk of relapse when you stop taking the antibiotic. Atopic dermatitis can recur depending on what provokes the episode, often unknown
