Pls help, elderly gran 90yr old,develped loud snoring like breathing while awake,took drs said tongue frm bak of throat causing issue-pls help thx?

Airway...: It sounds like there is a partial upper airway obstruction. Are there any other symptoms, like fever, nasal congestion, etc.? Depending on the cause, treatment may include placing an airway (like a tracheostomy tube). But, it also depends on how aggressive your elderly relative would want since procedures would also pose high risks of morbidity/mortality. Good luck!
