A member asked:

My 4 yr old has adenoids and tonsils taken out on jan 6. she is still drooling. mouth breathing and snores. is this normal? what could be cause

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Mouth breathing and snoring are usually not normal except during stuffy nose illnesses, such as colds. So, one's doctor gets to recheck and figure out why the symptoms. If there is not enough space for air flow, regardless of whether or not the tonsils and adenoids have been partly or fully removed, a person might still make breathing noises. The question is, how much space is there now?
