I can't tell from: your question and his conditions, if his swollen gums and drooling occurred after his spoon injury?Also,unsure of exact mechanism of the injury.Did he swallow the spoon or a piece of it? I would recommend re-asking the question a little more clearly so we can help advise you better. Meanwhile,watch for bleeding in his mouth or in his stool,vomiting or not acting well.See a doctor if those occur.
