A member asked:

How do they diagnose slit ventricle syndrome. i have had a ct,mri, and xray. could it still be slit ventricle syndrome. ?

Dr. Michael Gabor answered

Specializes in Diagnostic Radiology

It is a clinical: syndrome, so the diagnosis cannot be made solely on CT/MRI findings of small or "slit" like ventricles. The imaging findings plus the appropriate clinical findings, such as headache, nausea, or lethargy, need to be present.
