Pretty good: A negative D dimer can strongly rule out a PE but I never like to say never in medicine. Kim not sure what your symptoms are but if you are still concerned for a Pulmonary embolus than further work up could be warranted. Personally, unless you had high probability I would not proceed any further.

D dimer: If your d dimer is negative, the likelihood of a clot is low. If you are having symptoms of shortness of breath or leg swelling/pain, then get in for further evaluation.
