Not a stroke: with idiopathic intracranial HTN it is common to have ocular (eye) symptoms but that should be the only localized neurologic symptom you have. any other signs of stroke or "mini stroke"/TIA and I would question the diagnosis of IIH. the eye symptoms with IIH are troublesome to pt but really pose no harm to vision and do not mean your having a stroke. hope that helps.

Diplopia: in the setting of IIH may be due to 6th n compression from raised ICP. Consider switching mood stabilizers. (Lithium can promote BIHTN, See if you can get on a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor like Zonegran or Diamox. Topamax (topiramate) can cause neural tube defects if you get pregnant. See your doctor / neurologist / ophthalmologist.
