I have iih and last night i saw a faint white string across my vision field. everything was tinted grey, too. pupils grew and shrank fast, eyes hurt.

Migraine: This was a migraine phenomenom, which you are prone to with your condition. Did you have a headache following? if you are having repeated flashing lights, you need an eye exam to make sure you don't have a retinal injury or increased pressure in your eye ball.
