The wrist: is the MOST "COMPLICATED" joint in the body with 8 bones and MANY LIGAMENTS some of which can have PARTIAL or FULL TEARS after a fall particularly when you tried to "break" your fall with your hands!!!! Possibly related: Pain with wrist injuries can often be delayed. Even if there is no fracture, the wrist is so complex that sprained ligaments can cause significant pain as the wrist tries to continue its complex movement. After 6 months, there is the possibility that arthritis is starting to develop. You need an x-ray (or even bone scan) to exclude fracture & complete physical exam, possibly by orthopedist
