No clear regulations: in most states about physicians recommending spiritual care in addition to medical care. If you are uncomfortable with your doctor's approach in this regard, you may want to consider changing to another PCP. If you have specific questions about your care you could first discuss them with your doctor and if still unsatisfied speak with the person in charge of the clinic where you are seen.

There are none: There are no legal or ethical prohibitions against religious talk by doctors. (As a patient, it would annoy the HECK out of me.) Doc is either very religious, thoughtless, isolated & provincial, tactless, or some or all of the above. Your choices: 1) grin & bear it; 2) tell doc the religious references are unwelcome & please to stop making them (& then see if they do); 3) find another PCP.
