My 7 page blood results were all normal range except for white blood cell count at 3.1 low and absolute lymphocytes at 713 low. am in early 70's with no hospitalizations. results not available until after follow up pcp visit. are results very bad?

Normal red cell & platelet counts are reassuring about no sign of bone marrow malignancy. Lymphocytic leukopenia is seen with viral infections. If a repeat wbc& differential cell count in a week or two still shows low wbc & low lymphocyte count, consult a hematologist for advice & any further testing deemed appropriate.
