Stool Changes: Hi, pale or acholic stools refer to white or tan colored stool vs brown. Stool receives its brown color from pigments in bile, a digestive secretion from the gallbladder. If you have recurrent acholic stool it could be an indicator of gallbladder dysfunction. If you are having pain/fever/nausea/abdominal or right sided back pain you should see a doctor urgently.
