Hypothyroidism: The hypothyroidism is likely due to Hashimotos thyroiditis, which is autoimmune. People with Hashi have a higher risk of other autoimmune disorders (diabetes, adrenal failure, lupus,others) but hypothyroidism is very common, and most do not get any of these. Maintain a relationship with your PCP, report symptoms as they occur.
