Be seen: I would encourage you to be seen. If you have not had an injury, the other possibilities include an inflammatory or infectious etiology. If you are swelling around your knee, extending down into your leg, a blood clot may also be a consideration. An exam and appropriate studies can usually determine the cause and tell you your treatment options.
