Would a ecg show myocarditis?

Myocarditis: ECG is not specific for myocarditis. There are changes which can be seen to add in to a consideration of the diagnosis of myocarditis.

Often it does ..: Typically there ARE changes on the electrocardiogram in myocarditis: diffuse T wave inversions and saddle-shaped ST segment elevations. Other common blood tests including C-reactive protein, sed rate, & myocardial damage markers may be positive. The only 100% accurate diagnostic test of myocarditis is a myocardial biopsy--biopsy of the heart lining and muscle done via angiography.
