Scared i have sepsis but im a hypochondriac? i have a healing boil, a temperature of 97.0 and my heart rate is a resting 88 but i did take it in panic

Relax: If you had sepsis you would be very sick and have a high fever as well as redness and swelling around the abscess Your heart rate would be much higher and you would be too I'll to be on the computer asking this question

U don't have sepsis: Sepsis is a critical illness with multiple symptoms involving the cardiovascular system, a change in mental status, and fever resulting from a serious infection. You would not be writing this note and question if you were septic. Enjoy your good health.

Healing boil.: If the boil is healing it is unlikely you would develop sepsis AND you really don't have the symptoms. People with sepsis are SICK - look sick, feel sick and have multi system organ dysfunction. Progressive decline in function over hours. High fever, rapid pulse, etc. If you wake up in am and feel better there is no sepsis.
