Pyrexia: Pyrexia or "fever" needs close follow up with a physician. The most common cause is a bacterial or viral infection - less common but possible causes include autoimmune disease and certain forms of cancer. Be sure to follow with your doctor.

ER visit: Even though you have visited the ER and seen a doctor, I urge you to go back to the ER again. I understand you might be reluctant but something did not show up in the tests that were done and some more tests may need to be done. A fever lasting this many days is very much indicative of a persistent infection like meningitis, pneomonia etc. Please don't wait, take care.
