Take him to a doctor: Extreme vomiting for a few days can result in serious complications. In addition to irritating the lining of the esophagus causing pain in the upper abdomen, it can cause dehydration, electrolyte disturbances, and bleeding from the stomach or esophagus. These conditions can become severe and even be life-threatening. Your brother may need IV fluids and electrolytes, and medication for healing.
