BP variability: Blood pressure has a daily pattern. Blood pressure is lower at night while you're sleeping, starts to rise a few hours before you wake up, continues to rise during the day, usually peaking in the middle of the afternoon and then begins dropping again late is the afternoon and evening. Patterns different from this can due to a medical issue, shift work, poorly controlled hypertension etc.
