I'm 79yr old i took my blood pressure from home cuff bp monitor with heart indicator 164 beats felt pulse only 64 i have irregular regular heart beats nurse said i get inaccurate higher readings so should only rely on gp/ nurses bp monitors, true

Home BP monitor: Could be. Many devices do not work with irregular heartbeats. Take to Dr office and have them check it out. Some irregular heart beat problems do not get a strong beat every time to the wrist. That is reason one should listen to the heart to double check. You usually can hear more beats over chest than u feel in wrist. Ask Dr/nurse to show you how.
