Had a tooth extracted 7 days ago due to having a deep infection been on duo fort antibi for 5 days still in pain and going toward my ear?

Sometimes: pain can persist up to week. but if there is swelling and pain worse so your dentist again.

How Dry I Am..: NO antibiotic is perfect. Sometimes it's a crap shoot deciding what antibiotic to give someone. Well, an educated crap shoot, like an educated opinion. Your medicine is pretty good- and may be doing its job. So you may have something else, like maybe what's called a "dry socket," which means some of what's left of your tooth socket is exposed and that can hurt!! So call your dentist for advice!

See DMD: If you stil have just as much pain as prior to the surgery, I would go back to the dentist for reevaluation.
