Hernia: Theoretically. But I don't think there's a surgeon that would perform such a repair! It's too dangerous for the patient. Movement of any kind can cause injury of not only the skin and abdominal musculature, but also the intestinal contents! Anesthesia is crucially needed to maintain an open airway. 100% medically necessary in my opinion.
