Should be ok: most of the time, prescriptions expire after one year. The exact expiration for the medication is usually much later.

Not a: good idea. The medication may still be potent. The use of opiods outside as prescribed is illegal and could lead to a slippery slope. Find some NSAID

Not recommended: You should never use expired medicine. As it gets old, the chemicals can break down and produce undesired effects or the medication is no longer effective.
