Avoid naps: There are a few issues to watch if you are finding yourself napping in the day. Teenagers need about 9 hours a night and most don't get enough. So, sleep more. Secondly, there are natural sugar drops in the day that cause tiredness- one of them falling between 2- 4 PM. If you eat some fruit and keep busy you can get past that so you can fall asleep at a regular hour.

Hmmmm: Well, if you are overworked and not getting enough sleep at night, then your body may be telling you to nap. If you are getting adequate sleep and have developed some sort of nap addiction that is psychological in nature, than see your Dr. In general though, sleep at night for at least 6-8 hours and you should "rest assured" (pun intended) that you have enough sleep time to function without a nap
